an experience where silhouettes inspire, soundscapes captivate and movement mesmerises, held at China Heights Gallery, Surry Hills.
Transported by the ephemeral nature of dance and set against the soundscape of live harp, Nagnata invites guests to connect with their inner artist and participate in a life drawing class, featuring a cast of models and dancers wearing the collection.
Embodying Nagnata’s celebration of movement, guests observe the beauty of the human form as movement director Chloe Leong orchestrates the models into curated poses to highlight the way in which natural fibre knitwear drapes to the body.
Drawing inspiration from the grace of dancers off-duty, leading O&M hair stylists create tousled and lightly pulled back ballerina-buns accessorised with headbands. Claire Thomson leads make-up direction with a fresh, dewy post-dance complexion to highlight the individual beauty of each model. Agmes Jewellery elevates each look with minimal, sculptural jewels.
Adorned in a soft palette of fennel, fawn, iris and cream, timeless shapes are nuanced through natural fibre innovation, layering classic seamless styles and sheer essentials with cable knit skirts and cardigans.
THE NOTION THAT ‘WHAT YOU PUT ON YOUR SKIN MATTERS’ PERMEATES THE NAGNATA ETHOS, INFORMING OUR CONSCIOUS DESIGN PRINCIPLES AND PURITY OF FIBRE.
The presentation is an amalgamation of fashion and function, blending natural RWS Merino wool, Alpaca, Silk, Organic cotton and minimal contents of GRS recycled synthetic yarns only when required.
With a considered approach to design, Nagnata knits are engineered to shape ensuring a zero-waste manufacturing process. Our Seamless core compression garments are the only knitted products to produce some excess fabric, which, true to our no-waste guidelines, are repurposed into everyday hair accessories: headbands and scrunchies.
