Just after sunrise on Friday morning, we gathered at Belongil Beach for a shared moment of community, movement and surf.

Friends of the brand came together early, welcomed by the ocean and a grounding Welcome to Country led by Ella Bancroft. With dolphins playing in the background, we paused to connect, pay respect to Country, and begin the morning with intention.

Laura May welcomed guests and shared the day ahead, before movement practitioner Jenna Kruz led a strong mobility and warm-up session, preparing bodies for time in the water. McTavish ambassadors Christian “Wispy” Barker and Amber Grommet introduced their board range, generously offering boards for attendees to trial throughout the morning.

As the light shifted and the tide settled, surfers moved into the water — a sea of Nagnata swim worn in new and archived styles, styled intuitively and individually. Longboards, mid-lengths and shortboards shared the lineup, with experienced surfers and first-timers alike supported by Mikayla from Kaimana Surf. Offshore winds and powerful waves carried the session, with only a light sprinkle of rain passing through.

Onshore, Sunday Supply Co. provided shade as guests gathered between surfs to share refreshments by Sol Cleanse and Lematch, alongside art-inspired food by Pamela Maudy of Mira Curated. Hair was prepped for the surf and cared for after with Calleja Surf Hair, while Beatriz Ryder captured guests in their element — surfing, swimming, connecting and moving together.

The morning was a reminder of the power of shared experiences in nature, and the strength found in community, care and the ocean that connects us.
