RUSSH WEEKEND: A SPECIAL Q+A AND KUNDALINI CLASS WITH LAURA MAY
s
NAGNATA X RUSSH FESTIVAL FOR CREATIVE MINDS
Our friends at RUSSH curated a festival for creative minds streaming live over a weekend in July via RUSSH Magazine IGTV.
NAGNATA took over the RUSSH instagram hosting a live movement morning self-practice with Kundalini yoga
and Q+A with Nagnata Founder Laura May.
We warmed up with a spinal flow sequence and moved into a Kundalini Kriya (set of exercises) that focused on the navel centre, elimination and letting go. Kundalini Yoga uses techniques of dynamic breath, movement, mudra and mantra to activate our creative and sexual energies. This practice is especially great for creatives which is why we chose to share this style of yoga for the RUSSH event.
Moving Kundalini energy though your body helps fight emotional stress and balance the nervous system, which so many of us need more than ever right now. The set has pilates style exercises so we promise you will get a good workout while feeling the kundalini energy move through your body!
Our special guest and teacher, Harjiwan is an ex-ballerina, pilates and Kundalini teacher who guided us through and held space so the teachings weren't diluted as we move into our flow.
Fun Fact! The Kriya we did was first first shared freely in the west amongst the Woodstock generation in California 1969.
We had so much fun and love our NAGNATA community!
A special thank you to the incredible Harjiwan for holding space and guiding us through the sequence. We hope you loved it!
You can find our RUSSH WEEKEND playlist on Spotify to compliment your practice here.
